Office 2016 lets you view or
go back to earlier drafts of your documents so that you can edit and share your
documents with confidence. Version history is maintained for documents stored
on OneDrive for Business or SharePoint Online.
How to open a previous version:
1. On the File tab, select
History. The History tab opens to the right of the document.
Note: If you do not see History on the File tab, your document is not saved to the cloud or to a location that has version history tracking enabled.
