Office 2016 for Mac is the
familiar Office you know and love - with a redesigned ribbon, your favourite
features and keyboard shortcuts. This version of Office was designed from the ground up to take
advantage of the latest Mac features, including Retina display and full-screen
view support.
Microsoft have understood that
customers have been waiting for this since the last version Office for Mac 2011,
which has been perceived as outdated when compared to Office 2013 for PC and
looks old on the newest Mac hardware e.g. low res on Retina display, no support
for multi-touch gestures.
Office for Mac 2016 is
designed to take advantage of the Mac OS and Mac hardware. One important proof
point is that Office lets you work on docs in the cloud with seamless Microsoft
OneDrive integration - you can access your docs on your Mac, your iPhone, iPad
or any other device.
