Microsoft PowerPoint 2016 – Save Time by Using Master Slide to Change the Default Font for all Text

Rather than updating your slides one by one, you can save time by changing the default font for your entire presentation. Eliminate additional formatting steps in the future by saving the updated Slide Master as a new template.
Note: Any changes you make to the Slide Master will affect all other slide templates.

To change the default font in the Slide Master:
1. Click View > Slide Master.

2. On the Slide Master tab, click the Fonts drop-down menu. Select the font you want to use for all the slides in the presentation.
Note: Any changes you make in this Slide Master view affect all the other slide templates.

3. Click Close Master View. The text throughout your presentation will automatically update to the new font.

Tip: You can save time and eliminate additional formatting steps in the future by saving the updated Slide Master as a new template. For details, see Help for Create a new template to save your default font.
