In PowerPoint 2013 and later,
you can apply animation effects (motion) to text, pictures, shapes, SmartArt
graphics, and more, so they play in your slide show.
For example, you can make
words or text appear one line at a time. Build a slide presentation that animates
bullet points or even production credits.
Note: In PowerPoint, animations
are not the same as transitions. A transition animates the way one slide
changes to the next.
To add an animation effect to
an object or text in a slide:
1. Select the object or text on
the slide that you want to animate.
2. On the Animations tab,
click Add Animation, and pick an animation effect.
Note: To apply additional
animation effects to the same object, see Apply multiple animation effects to
one object, or to add a motion path, see Add a motion path animation effect.
Tip: Some entrance and exit
effects (such as Flip, Drop, and Whip) and some emphasis effects (such as Brush
Colour and Wave) are available only for objects that contain text. If you want
to apply an animation effect that isn't available for this reason, try adding a
space inside your object.
