Microsoft Project Multiple Project Plans


Multiple Projects

Multiple projects can be viewed on and worked on together. To do this the individual projects need to have already been set up.



Create a multiple project

1.     Create a new project

2.     Menu, Insert, Project

3.     Change the directory to where your project files are stored

4.     Select the projects that need to be added

The Shift key and Control key can be used to select multiple projects at this stage rather than having to keep repeating this step

5.     Are the files to be linked to the original projects? If changes are made the multiple project do you want the original plans to be updated.



 This adds the projects as summary bars into the new project.

 This project can then be manipulated to show the project detail to whatever level is necessary by showing the tasks to different levels and the zoom level.
