Microsoft Access Field Properties – Caption

Caption 

Field properties are where you fine tune the table.  The data type provides general information about the type of data that a field is going to contain and in the properties is where you define it more exactly.


The caption allows you to set the column heading if you want it to be different to the field

name. If no entry is made then the field name is displayed. It can be used to display the

name in lay mans terms if technical terms are used for field names, or if no spaces are used

in the field names then the caption could have the spaces in so that it appears better on the
